Today I need to use up some smaller flowers that have been waiting to fit in somewhere. The same situation is true for a few odd vases that have gathered some dust.
A selection of vintage Anchor-Hocking ruby glass vases has accumulated over the years. From time to time a use comes up for one. An energetic mix of deep colors brightens the dark red glass.
I don’t recall ever using this peculiarly shaped vase for anything until now. When I discovered it a few years ago, I decided to put it on my supply shelf, for later. Well, now is finally later. Some long-stemmed tiny yellow beauties in the spray, echo the detail highlights of the container.
Modern shapes and tones have been finding their way into my mind lately. The cobalt blue, Swedish made, blown glass vase does the job for a contemporary floral statement in blue.
I think all three of these ideas demonstrate that sometimes a little bit, is all we need. Don’t forget that my images are clickable for larger versions.
The Blue Jay of Happiness likes this Chinese Proverb. “When you have only two coins left in the world, buy a loaf of bread with one, and a lily with the other.”
