It’s already November and I’m not at all ready, nor in the mood to decorate for the holidays. Instead, there remains the urge to experiment with sizes and materials in creating floral arrangements.
A small, carved marble vase from Pakistan has been sitting at the back of a shelving unit for who knows how long. I filled it with a potpourri of fun colors and shapes to reflect the time of year.
The yellow gerbera daisy needed a special treatment. I filled a medium size sheet metal pot with a variety of greenery, then placed the solitary flower near the center of everything.
The very large Tibetan themed vase needs a more formal arrangement. In this case, tall grasses provide the structure to hold small dry flowers and arrays of blue blooms. All together, they give a dramatic presence.
