June Experiments …Floral Friday

We have already reached the month named after Jupiter’s consort, Juno, the queen of the gods and goddesses. She fills many roles, including protector of the Roman people. Juno, like Jupiter is an expansive character.

June is a month of creativity and experimentation due to this time of the year in the Northern Hemisphere being rich with plant growth and life. All this carries over into creative mindsets in many of us.

Whoever designed the terra cotta replica of a tin can probably has a good sense of humor.  In this case, the “can” is a perfect holder for a batch of morning glories.

I’m not a big fan of hot, humid weather, so cool colors and themes help bring down the mental temperature.  Rich blue Peruvian lilies in a stainless steel pot fill the bill.

A favorite flower for this time of year is the pansy.  Why not enjoy an earthenware bowl full of them as a centerpiece on the table?

The Blue Jay of Happiness quotes Dr. Seuss. “How did it get so late so soon? It’s night before it’s afternoon. December is here before it’s June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?”
