Once again it’s time to raid the supply shelf to supply the urge for animal themed containers. There’s something about novelties that replicate creatures that brings a smile to the face. A subtle sense of deep seated nostalgia is awakened by the shapes and colors.
The rich tones of the glaze on the rooster planter make the container suitable for display in rooms that are not the kitchen, even though it works well there, too.
The burro at Siesta time theme is played out in mid 20th century coral pink. The cliché continues with the small cactus and flower accents.
The white Siberian tiger head is a souvenir mug from “The Greatest Show on Earth”. The uneven details make it unsuitable for drinking without spilling. Since it is impractical for food or drink, why not park some flowers in it?
