Today I chose a varied selection of containers to ensure three different approaches to arranging. That means there is no over-arching theme to today’s Floral Friday.
The first container has a modernistic shape and features 14 small openings around the larger top opening. The project took shape as single blooms and elements filled each opening. This gives the arrangement a well-rounded appearance.
An ironic, vintage candy dish shaped like a molar is the base for a confection-inspired blend of pastel colored blooms.
At first glance, the heavy, orange glass urn is somewhat imposing. A sparse, formal inspired grouping of elements lightens and brightens the overall appearance.
The Blue Jay of Happiness quotes the Renaissance intellectual Francesco Petrarch. “Sameness is the mother of disgust, variety the cure.”
