I enjoy the rustic colors and appearance of sunflowers in October. So I was tempted to utilize them in this week’s projects. There is an auxiliary theme of cylindrical shaped containers. Here is how the experiments turned out.
The tall, contemporary, fire-orange glass vase contains a solitary flower in a post-modern inspired arrangement.
Without getting too technical, the second container is a heat-sink with cooling fins for a large vacuum tube. In this case, the tube was used in the final stage circuit of a 100,000 watt FM transmitter. Why let a perfectly good heat-sink go to waste? The final stage of this project emits an industrial vibe.
The earthy tones of Oklahoma clay are seen in the Frankoma terra cotta vase. The warm colors are welcome during cool Autumn days.

The Blue Jay of Happiness quotes 18th-19th century writer, Jean Paul. “Every friend is to the other a sun, and a sunflower also. He attracts and follows.”
That’s great! The terracotta is my favourite but they are all very elegant. Greetings 🙂
Thank you
