New Experiments …Floral Friday

The very first Floral Friday ushers in 2021 with optimism for a good beginning this year. I selected three projects that evoke joy and clear vision. The unique containers draw the eye towards simple, clean arrangements. They are placed in mostly minimalistic still-life settings.

Seashells help evoke a relaxed seashore feeling. Blue Peruvian lilies are at home in a bottom-weighted cocktail glass filled with aquarium gravel.

The early January mood comes through with mostly cool-toned, pastel flowers. They offset the silvery stainless steel vase, the Plexiglas juggler’s ball, and grey setting.

The final project features contrasts and assertive colorways. Yellow blossoms are the star attractions. The black container and reddish paperweight are supporting figures.

Ciao

Happy New Year to everyone!

The Blue Jay of Happiness quotes Ralph Waldo Emerson.
“To laugh often and much;
to win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children,
to leave the world a better place,
to know even one life has breathed easier
because you have lived,
this is to have succeeded.”
