Three smallish vases needed cleaning. One of them was patinaed too much, so it required some quality time with a soft cloth and some Brasso polish. Soon, the trio looked good enough for a picture; so I took one. Then it seemed like a good idea to add a common element–one red Gerbera daisy in each container.
The first project utilized the carved onyx marble bud vase. To create something unique, I used dry curled grasses instead of greenery. One of the Gerberas completed the easy arrangement.
The decorative department store vase had enough room for multiple flowers, so a variety of colors and blooms were used with the second Gerbera added as the finishing touch.
The Gorham brass, cone-shape bud vase holds a more conventional solitaire–greenery and the third Gerbera.
The Blue Jay of Happiness quotes Romantic Era poet, William Wordsworth. “The daisy, by the shadow that it casts, Protects the lingering dewdrop from the Sun.”
