After taking care of some housecleaning chores, I was in the mood for clean simplicity. This carried into planning today’s Floral Friday projects. I limited the containers to three contemporary bud vases. Within such constraints, I made economical use of style and material.

A dark taupe, hand-crafted Empoli Optic Glass bud vase has been weighted with beach sand to provide ballast for the light green hydrangea cluster. Accent blossoms and pin feathers finish the project.

A steeply conical Japanese vase provides just enough room for a gladiolus and a sprig of greenery for this one-off statement project.

The nickle plated brass cylinder provides the cool base for a sprig of leaves and a branch of blue blossoms.

The Blue Jay of Happiness quotes singer, Bobby Brown. “I feel that the simplicity of life is just being yourself.”
