Season’s Greetings 2021

It’s easy to believe that we’re supposed to conform to the holiday season norms. Of course, we really are not obligated to do so. This is one reason why I prefer to use the phrases “Happy Holidays” and “Season’s Greetings”. Today’s Christmas Holiday is only one of a treasure trove of cultural celebrations that happen at this time of year. Each of them is sacred to the people who observe them.

I like to contemplate the various holidays and celebrations. This helps me gain a better understanding of people and what makes them tick. Generally speaking, holiday traditions are deeply embedded in one’s psyche. We are taught them by our families and society at large. For this reason, the holiday season triggers nostalgia, particularly memories about our childhood. Even if one did not experience a happy childhood, people do reminisce about people and events that were good and wholesome.

It is in this spirit, that I sincerely want for you to have special, meaningful, Happy Holidays.

Namaste
The Blue Jay of Happiness quotes William Shakespeare.
“At Christmas I no more desire a rose
Than wish a snow in May’s new-fangled mirth;
But like of each thing that in season grows.”
