While going through my seemingly endless supply of vases and planters, I noticed some mid 20th century ceramic critters. These have not been used since at least a few years, so the time had come to put them to use again.
The seven-inches long, yellow McCoy burro planter has only enough room for a small cactus. I selected a plant that has a human-like shape.
The USA Pottery swan planter is perfect for a couple of handsful of tiny filler flowers in a rainbow of colors.
This early 1950s cat vase has been in my collection for at least three decades. Meanwhile, I’ve never been able to discover the maker of this small art pottery piece. White Peruvian lilies provide subtle refinement of this project.

The Blue Jay of Happiness quotes former U.S. President, Woodrow Wilson. “If a dog will not come to you after having looked you in the face, you should go home and examine your conscience.”
Your collection of vases and planters is top notch. I really like the burro one from today’s displays.
Thanks. The burro is classic.
Love them all but the burro is the best!!
McCoy Pottery had a knack of manufacturing appealing wares.
