Smileys …Floral Friday

Today’s Floral Friday theme is self-explanatory. I decided to gather several porcelain Smiley objects into one post. Two of them were gifts and the rest came from thrift stores and garage sales. Why? Well, the sky was dark with overcast and light rain. So tacky yellow kitsch seemed to be the way to brighten the mood.

A medium size vase contains summer-hued flowers to complement the mustard yellow of the Smileys. The astronaut plush toy seems happy to be included.

The stack of four small Smileys makes a clever bud vase. There’s just enough space for a sunflower solitare. The Smiley clock face awaits a permanent place in a so far, unknown, future crafted clock project.

They’re all dressed up and ready to attend a September birthday party. (not mine). The spill-resistant mug contains a small posy of complimentary blooms. The festive canister is filled with my pal’s favorite toffees.

Ciao

The Blue Jay of Happiness quotes U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders. “I’m not always a smiley kind of guy.”
