Sometimes subtle, hushed tones are what most pleases the eye. This week has been one of those times for me. Simply laying low and mellow were what was needed. I brought out a few low-key vases that coordinate with pastel mauves and pinks. The arrangements were to be unconvoluted and somewhat traditional.
The first project utilizes a pearlized glazed USA Pottery planter with gold leaf handles. Three clusters of small blooms dominate the arrangement.
The tall Japanese iris vase contains stems of small, mauve blossoms that are accented with larger greenish-grey flowers.
A small USA pottery “tree trunk” bud vase features mauve floral elements and ivy stem accents.

Thanks
That second one is especially striking! I’m going to start paying more attention to vases when I go to thrift stores.
There are scads of vases and collecting them is addictive. 🙂
Stunning.
Thanks!
