Vase Work …Floral Friday

Today’s projects began with my decision to clean and polish a vintage Indian brass vase. After four applications and buffings, the vase looked presentable again. The two remaining vases were slightly dirty but cleaned up in a jiffy. Assembling flower projects in clean vases is an activity I enjoy.

The brass vase now contains a mixture of camilias and roses with a duo-tonal theme.

A blue, art-glass cruet-shaped bud vase contains a ball-type dahlia and bud. Sand was added to provide stability and weight.

A striped, ceramic department store vase displays two varieties of lilies.

The Blue Jay of Happiness quotes George Orwell. “It was a bright, cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen.”

I love how the dahlia and greens follows the curve of the vase. I found myself tilting my head, like the little bird next to it.
