Contemporary Stylings …Floral Friday

We’re still early into the new season so my thoughts have been dominated by the urges to experiment. This week, the idea was to begin with contemporary arrangement theory then adjust the projects’ appearances towards slightly less orthodox finished styles. Unconventional combinations of flowers and colors housed in standard florist planter bowls were the objectives.

Chrysanthemums, daisies, and roses have been stacked and layered in a modern planter to create an all-season display.

A modern homage of a mid-century tulip bowl contains large and small white lilies. A pair of blood red roses signals a romantic intent.

It’s back to my signature minimalistic styling with a whimsical smiley pot. I couldn’t resist a solitairy sunflower to carry through the mood.

The Blue Jay of Happiness quotes Oscar Wilde. “Behind the perfection of a man’s style, must lie the passion of a man’s soul.”
