This Week’s Experiments …Floral Friday

Now that the seasons have changed, I feet like expressing the shifting moods of this time of year with varied approaches to late September.

There are still weather hints of the warmer seasons yet coolness predominates. The dark blue glass vase contains reddish colors tinted with various amounts of blue. This was also a good excuse to show off some Peruvian lilies I particularly like.

A Space Age, stylized rectangular planter is the outrageous base for over the top Gerbera daisies and poppies. I hope my readers aren’t getting tired of bright orange in so many of this year’s projects.

The small, humble Shawnee vase holds pastel shades of yellow-green that are common in rural areas of North America’s Great Plains this time of year.

The Blue Jay of Happiness quotes Major League Baseball Hall of Fame player, Willie Stargell. “I love September, especially when we’re in it.”
